A short story I wrote for the Welcome to my Homepage Digital Residency.

I made assets to accompany the story, including a game made with flicksy, videos, sculptures, a 360° photosphere viewable on the website or in VR, images, immersive audio, and a theme song. I also made it into a zine, viewable HERE.

This work is basically a mixture of thoughts about…

• My Subconscious: memories, feelings, ways of accessing those, similarities between EMDR and stuff like hypnosis or ASMR, and how certain things can trigger memories or feelings that we don’t always understand or expect, and using these as ways to traverse an inner world.
• Labor: my labor, my friends’ labor, being in between jobs, working under shitty circumstances, the ways in which labor can (or tries to?) define a person or people.
• Living: calibrating self-awareness, relating to and communicating with others in avoidant or """non-normative""" ways, finding connections in ways of thinking/feeling, discovering shared histories, letting yourself get swept into wanting something better or different, change...?
